Emily Dickenson is one of America's most revered poets. She was influenced by many of the transcendentalists however she tended to use her own rules for rhyme schemes and punctuation. She was known to be reclusive but had a circle of friends with whom she had an active correspondence.

Our news for A Cozy Death Book Club includes an invitation to each of you to send in reviews of cozy mystery books that you’ve read. We also announce our meeting for August 25 for which we’re reading Margery Allingham’s The Crime at Black Dudley.

August is a month to fill with exciting books that take you to places that you have never visited. It also has holidays that are fun, like National S’mores Day and National Waffle Day.

Happy Birthday, United States! We get to celebrate with fireworks, but our doggies don’t enjoy one moment of it. So, our shower is ready for Barnaby to hide out!

We read The Unexpected Mrs. Pollifax for May. Tahlia led the bookclub meeting and the BINGO game. Several members won the game and talked about how much they enjoyed the novel.

The wallpaper is fun, but the bars are my freedom to get around without help.

The June calendar is full of exceptional celebration days (like National Ballpoint Pen Day) and our meeting on the 23rd.

We read The Unexpected Mrs. Pollifax by Dorothy Gillman for our club’s May 26 meeting. After discussing the book we’re playing Bingo using names of characters and sifes rom the book. Good luck to all of our players!

May is full of celebrations that include National Chocolate Chip Day on the 15th and National Asparagus Day on the 24th. Guess which one I like the best!
